WIND ON THE LAKE

The title for this work comes from Inner Truth, the 61st hexagram, in the I Ching, the Chinese Book of Changes. It says, “The wind blows over the lake and stirs the surface of the water. Thus visible effects of the invisible manifest themselves.” The mother and child move on the rippling water with no visible means of support. So much in life seems to arise from unseen causes.
