COMPASSIONATE HEART

Jungian psychology says that certain images are so profoundly etched in human consciousness that they are archetypes and immediately available across cultures and throughout time. An example is the archetype of mother and child. I have used this image in many works. Here, they are very related to the viewer as if ready to help when asked. Because of this, the woman partakes of the archetype of the Great Goddess, known in the East as Kwan Yin, Hearer of Cries.
